About

My name is Jonah "Jo" Rothman, and I'm a queer, nonbinary, disabled, Jewish educator living in the Boston area. I graduated in 2022 from Wheaton College with a BFA in Creative Writing and Literature. In my free time, I enjoy singing, cross-stitching, queer cartoons, and various types of dance, including two step, west coast swing, country line dance, and Israeli dance.

I have been writing for 17 years and teaching for 12. Since my coming out in 2017, I have led dozens of programs across the Northeast, including support spaces for queer youth, allyship workshops, and trainings on trans inclusion in academic and medical spaces.

Like many marginalized people, I have limited income; while I love to write and am enjoying keeping this blog up-to-date, it is a labor of love and a free service I offer. If you're interested in helping me support myself while continuing to do the work I love, please consider donating to my Ko-fi here.
